The object "Ash Heap" is made of sodium glass, hand-blown into a mold, ground, and polished. It is part of the Textures of Nature series.
This project was created out of inspiration and respect for the world around us, born from admiration for the perfection of nature and fear for its and our future.
The artist continuously studies, explores, and analyzes the relationships and interdependencies between humans and the natural world.
Her art, as both the result and record of these reflections, is not only aesthetic but also ethical and contemplative, aiming to awaken awareness and engagement.
The objects in this series, named Barren Land, Drought, Ash Heap and Wild Hive, refer to organic forms and structures found in nature.
"I immerse myself in the creative process, believing that fire—a transformative element inherent to glassmaking—becomes, in the case of these objects, an allegory of both destruction and rebirth. The structures and organic forms imprinted on the surface of the glass document what has inevitably succumbed to destruction in its flames."
The objects from this series were exhibited, among others, at the solo exhibition RE-NEW at the Wałbrzych Gallery of Art BWA in 2023.
